St. Thomas’ Sophia’s Circle women’s ministry offers “Laughter Yoga” micro retreat October 8
Women of all ages are invited to get light, loose, relaxed and happy on Friday, October 8 from 6:30 to 9:30pm at a “Laughter Yoga” micro retreat with certified laughter yoga leader, Caryl Derenfeld at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville.
Developed by Dr. Matan Kataria of India, laughter yoga concentrates on the breath and the physical act of laughter, whether real or contrived, as a way to better health and overall well being. No pretzel positions or special clothing needed. Simply put, laughter yoga is a series of exercises consisting of breathing, clapping and laughing, with guidance from professionally trained Laughter Yoga leader, Caryl Derenfeld. It is a joyous way to exercise your body and invigorate your mind.
Women of all ages are invited. The cost to attend, which includes light refreshments, is $10, payable at the door. Space is limited to 60 women.
